Lesmore Willis already accepted the fate of his lost husky named Sinatra. Willis’ only daughter, Zion, owns Sinatra. The dog went missing after Willis’ daughter died due to a freak gun accident.
Since then, Willis was still hopeful that he would find the pooch. For him, it is his way of keeping his promise to his daughter that he would take care of Sinatra. But fate seems elusive. After days, months, and years of trying to locate the dog, all his efforts in searching for the pooch did not yield good results.
Just when Willis was about to give up on his hopes of finding Sinatra, someone from Florida contacted him. Willis is living in Brooklyn, New York. This means that the person is calling from 1100 miles.
The person on the next line is Rose Verrill, a 13-year-old resident of Seffner, Florida. The young lady phoned Willis to confirm whether the pooch she found was Willis’. At first, Willis thought everything was a prank.
But when the girl was able to answer all his questions, Willis started to believe that the call was legitimate. According to Rose, she found Sinatra wandering alone near their house. She thought the dog was with someone.
But when she realized that the pooch was all alone, Rose decided to take the pooch with her. She then introduced the dog to her family. In no time, the family members of Rose were able to see the dog’s microchip.
The dog’s microchip matched the identity of Willis. Once Rose’s family got Willis’ contact number, they immediately contacted the man. Good thing, it was Willis who picked the phone up when Rose called.
The two eventually agreed to meet for the possible reunion with the pooch. On the day of the meeting, Sinatra was able to recognize Willis. The dog immediately ran towards the direction of Willis. It was the dog’s way of saying that he is finally home.
