A Dog In A Grooming Center Escapes Its Cage In Order To Console Other Dogs That Are Crying

A dog at an animal boarding facility in Canada has recently captured the hearts of the employees. This is because the dog showed compassion for puppies that wailed throughout the night.

Maggie, a golden-colored dog of mixed breed, was a frequent guest at Barker’s Pet Motel and Grooming Center in Canada. And she escaped her kennel one night.

The employees believed the medium-sized dog intended to flee. However, upon watching security footage, they were moved by the motive for the escape.

Maggie apparently heard the puppies in a nearby kennel sobbing. The dog joined the terrified puppies and laid outside their kennel to comfort them. Alex Aldred, an employee at Barker’s Pet Motel and Grooming, claimed that they had never encountered a dog with such concern for the other guests.

All security cameras captured the adorable event on tape. The security staff observed Maggie leaving her kennel during the night shift. Before they could return the dog to her cage, they observed her whereabouts.

Sandy, Alex’s mother, who also works at the institution, returned to the facility to personally investigate the matter. There, she observed the adorable dog with the wailing puppies. Seeing that there was no issue, Sandy simply allowed the three dogs to spend the night together.

Alex’s mother reportedly informed him that Maggie was eager to assist the sad puppies. After observing the pups’ reaction to the dog, Sandy brought Maggie inside with the puppies. They appeared to be relaxed and content in Maggie’s presence. Sandy stated that the puppies were won over by the dog’s adoration!

The following day, the puppies continued to cuddle with Maggie! According to Deanna Thompson of the Alberta Animal Rescue Crew Society, Maggie’s conduct did not come as a surprise. The dog has her own puppies and has lived a difficult life before being adopted. Deanna remarked that Maggie’s act of goodwill is a great feature that most rescue dogs exhibit.
