It is always saddening to see stray dogs struggling so hard to survive on the streets. Many of them become ill and leave this world alone and they didn’t even get to experience what it is like to be a member of a family. Thankfully, there is no shortage of kind people who provide these dogs with a second chance to enjoy life and find loving, permanent homes.
Charlie, a stray dog in Bali, appeared to be within days of death from malnutrition and disease. The majority of Charlie’s body was bald, and he was so emaciated that you could see every bone protruding from his body. Charlie was also scared of people and refused to approach them.
Prue is an employee of Mission Pawsible, a group that is focused on helping strays, and she was told about Charlie. Prue’s only intent upon seeing Charlie was to help him recover and find him a new forever home.
The woman was able to capture Charlie and immediately took him to the animal clinic, where he recuperated for a month. When Charlie was finally healthy enough, Prue fostered him until he was ready for a permanent home.
At first, Charlie was somewhat hesitant toward Prue. He would freeze every time Prue came near him, but he slowly relaxed and realized he was finally in a safe environment.
Prue started her connection with Charlie by taking him on walks. That was the time when Prue began to observe the changes happening in Charlie. The dog also gained a great deal of weight and regrew a gorgeous, glossy coat. Charlie was now content, and he chose Prue as his new mother.
Prue also fell in love with Charlie, and when she considered preparing him for adoption, she realized he was already home, so she opted to adopt him and make him an official part of her family.
It’s hard to believe that Charlie is the same dog that Prue took from the streets because he looks so drastically different now.
