Pitbull Puppies Find Their Forever Homes Despite Being Born With Deformities

Pitbull Puppies Find Their Forever Homes Despite Being Born With Deformities

Paquita Gillis August 13, 2022

Heather and Kat Marchant of Pibble’s Plantation, a shelter for pups and canines with unique needs, had just taken in two Pittie puppies named Uriel and Samiel. At around the same time, a man surrendered 4-week-old Gabriel. Gabriel, just like Uriel and Samiel, had swimmer syndrome, and none of them could use their legs as how they should be used.

The rescuers decided that the three puppies were from the same litter by connecting the dots. They were the same age, had the same body type, and were virtually identical in appearance. Uriel and Samiel were abandoned early on, while Gabriel was sold to the man who surrendered him to the organization.

Despite their condition, Uriel and Samiel were cheerful and energetic. They enjoyed being around humans and sought constant attention. Gabriel, on the other hand, was the total opposite. He screamed whenever he was handled, and he had no interest in anything or anyone.

It took Gabriel about a week to feel secure with his rescuers. He did not wag his tail at them until after that point. He finally trusted that they would not harm him.

The objective with the triplet doggos was not simply to get them to stand up. Their rescuers merely wanted for them to be able to eat, drink, and breathe normally. Surprisingly, they achieved greater success than anticipated.

As the puppies grew larger, they began to develop muscle mass and strength. They were all able to walk on their four legs after only a few sessions of therapy. They enjoyed their time outdoors as they played with the larger dogs.

Gabriel developed a limp and needed to have one of his front legs amputated. It was an obstacle, but it did not hamper him in any way. In fact, he walked significantly better following the procedure because he no longer experienced agony.

The triplets were soon to be placed in permanent homes. Uriel moved a few streets away to be with his loving family, while Samiel remained behind because Heather and Kat decided that she remained there. Gabriel met two fur mothers who fell in love with him the moment they saw his social media photo.
