Pit Bull Found Dying By The Side Of The Road Rescued By Amazing Volunteers

Pit Bull Found Dying By The Side Of The Road Rescued By Amazing Volunteers

Abandoned dogs usually don’t do well after getting dumped by their previous owners. Some dogs end up getting depressed, while others struggle to live and scavenge for food. Most homeless dogs also get injured and end up dying in the streets.

It’s unfortunate to think that even in today’s society, there are still homeless or stray dogs found all over our country. Despite the combined efforts of the government and private organizations, a lot of people still don’t understand that having a dog is a big responsibility.

A stray dog named Riley was found by volunteers of an animal rescue organization called Stray Rescue Of St. Louis. When Riley was found, he wasn’t in good shape at all. In fact, he was severely injured, couldn’t walk, and severely emaciated. Riley was actually waiting for a slow and agonizing death.

The volunteers of the animal rescue organization knew that if Riley would likely get euthanized in other shelters. Riley looked as if he lost all hope in life. Thankfully, the volunteers of Stray Rescue Of St. Louis decided to help Riley as best they could, and they wanted to give him a second chance to live a happy life.

The volunteers took turns nursing Riley back to health. In the second week, Riley’s rescuers put blankets on a red wagon and put Riley inside. They wanted Riley to be able to enjoy the outdoors. And, since Riley was still too weak to walk, they took him outside using the wagon.

As soon as they stepped outside, Riley’s excitement is so apparent. He had his head up and started observing everything around him. He loved going out. After a few more days, Riley began trying to stand up by himself. Although he could only walk a few steps at a time before the rescuers had to put him back on the red wagon, Riley is making significant progress.

After a few more weeks, Riley eventually started to walk longer distances until he was able to walk by himself with minimal assistance. The rescuers couldn’t believe that Riley was able to recover so fast. It was all thanks to the love and encouragement that the rescuers gave him. The first time Riley pushed himself to walk by himself, his foster mom cried tears of joy.

Riley eventually made a full recovery and was ready to get adopted. Riley was adopted by a man who closely followed Riley’s progress in social media. The first time they met, Riley and his new dad hit it off like they knew each other for a long time. They instantly bonded and became best friends.

Riley now lives happily with his new family. Riley’s new dad makes sure that he gets plenty of fun and that he gets to play every day. Here’s a heartwarming video of Riley’s rescue story.
