Miley The Husky Reunites With Her Rescuer A Year Later

Miley The Husky Reunites With Her Rescuer A Year Later

Paquita Gillis March 6, 2020

Miley is a beautiful white Husky that’s fortunate enough to find a forever home. She enjoys playing in their beautiful yard and always has food on her bowl. But more than that, she’s loved.

Miley’s life, however, didn’t start so great. She lived in a mountain of trash and scavenged food to survive. She had no one to care for her, so she had to fend for herself. Luckily, a Good Samaritan saw the poor dog and called Hope For Paws for help.

Eldad Hagar was the one to respond to the scene. When he arrived, he saw Miley resting on the pile of garbage. The dog looked defeated, and she almost didn’t care when the rescuer approached her.

With one look, Eldad knew Miley had mange. She was obviously in so much pain that she refused to move. So before carrying her out of the dump, Eldad made sure she’s comfortable enough. He sat with her and assured her that everything’s going to be okay.

Miley received immediate medical attention as soon as they reached Hope For Paws rescue center. With proper medication, antibiotics, and medicated baths, her skin started to soothe. And in about a week, her wounds healed.

A couple of weeks later, Miley received her clean bill of health. She proceeded to her foster home, where she continued her healing process. Before long, she found her forever family.

Throughout the process, Eldad was there. He saw how Miley endured all the pain so that she could heal. He’s a living proof that Miley is one resilient dog.

Eldad couldn’t be any happier when Miley found her forever home. But when he got the chance to reunite with her, he was ecstatic. The sick, emaciated pup he found on the dumpster is now a happy, beautiful dog.

“If a person is in that vulnerable state and they see Miley, they can see that there’s hope,” said Eldad. “They’ll realize that things can get better.”
