Our pet doggos can be taught a lot of things. In fact, as time passes by, it seems that we discover more of their skills and abilities. But not too many people would guess that singing is part of our furry best buds’ repertoire. Well, the Golden Retriever in the viral video below will make people think otherwise.
Okay, we’ll admit it. It’s just a video of a doggo howling, but you can’t deny that this furball’s pipes are pretty impressive. This musical mutt is Hugo, and he loves listening to opera singers according to his human. But out of all the singers that he’s howled to, Luciano Pavarotti is his favorite.
The video was taken inside their home in Whitley Bay, England. Hugo was staring at the sky, enjoying the wonderful hues that the sunset had to offer. But as we all know, our puppers use their ears more than their eyes. So when Hugo heard Pavarotti belting out on TV, he immediately went in front of the screen to appreciate his idol singing “Nessun dorma.”
However, Hugo wasn’t planning on just being a spectator. A few seconds after staring at the TV screen, the pooch started howling. The pupper then sat down in front of the TV as if to suggest that he was going to be duetting with the Italian opera icon.
Hugo continued to belt out several howls, and the best one was the howl he let out during the climax of the song. After the audience gave Pavarotti a standing ovation, the pooch also stood there as if he was basking in the crowd’s appreciation of his performance.
Although howling is normal behavior for doggos whenever they hear musical instruments or people singing, we can’t help but adore their reactions. It’s as if they want to be part of the performance, and even if they don’t hit the notes, it’s good enough for any dog lover out there.
