German Shepherd Lab Mix Finds His Forever Home After His Former Family Abandoned Him

German Shepherd Lab Mix Finds His Forever Home After His Former Family Abandoned Him

Paquita Gillis July 6, 2021

They say that life sometimes deals you a hardball. It’s true, and sometimes, someone needs to step in and lend you a helping hand. That’s what happened to Finn, a German Shepherd Labrador.

Finn’s story isn’t like the usual rescue story. He had a family to care for him, but after five years, they decided to give up and sent him to the pound.

It must have been really traumatizing for this poor doggo to have gone from a loving home to a pound. Fortunately, a kind lady saw his photo and fell in love with him.

She took Finn in, and she said she could tell he was just anxious. Finn would spend all his time glued to his new mom, even when she exercised.

Finn’s new owner also noticed that he was exceptionally fearful of stairs. She suspected he was pushed down from one, hence Finn’s reaction.

Even with the anxiety and the fear, Finn showed that he still had room for love in his heart. He took to his new mom pretty quickly, although he was still unsure of many things.

That’s when Paddy, a Border Collie, arrived. He was taken in as a foster, but because he showed Finn how to become a dog again, mom adopted them both.

Finn finally started to come out of his shell, and he began showing his personality. He loved cuddling, playing, swimming, and eating. Most dogs do, and that’s when mom knew everything will be okay.

We don’t know what reason forced Finn’s previous family to give him up like that, but we’re thankful that happened. Otherwise, Finn wouldn’t have the life he’s enjoying now.

Thank you, lady, for adopting both Finn and Paddy. This world needs more like you, and we’re sure that your dogs feel the same way. Bless you!
