Family Of Tourists Adopted A Stray Dog During Their Vacation

Family Of Tourists Adopted A Stray Dog During Their Vacation

Paquita Gillis November 11, 2020

The main purpose of going on a vacation is to have fun and relax. However, some people are willing to take it up a notch by helping out stray animals either out of good intentions or just natural reaction.

The Light family loved vacations. This time, they chose the beautiful city of Cyprus.

Their trip began with them wandering around the city, enjoying the views. As they explored the small village named Kouklia, that’s where their lives changed.

The moment they locked eyes with a skinny Beagle mix, they were astounded as it approached them immediately. The pup ran up to them with eagerness and lots of tail wag, showing them that he’s happy to see them.

Though the dog was as light as day around the presence of strangers, the Light family was still heartbroken. This beaten-up-by-life pup still had the courage and happiness to face his daily life despite the challenges he had to face.

Aside from being skin and bones, he also had a severe ear injury that was obviously not taken care of. With that, the animal lovers knew they couldn’t leave this adorable pup behind.

Though he was a friendly pup, it took them time to get his trust. Of course, he couldn’t resist the smell of delicious dog food as he consumed everything till the very last bit and gave them his faith. Once safe inside their van, the Light family brought him to their temporary home.

After getting some rest, the family then brought him to the vet to get his health checked. Thankfully, his injuries were treatable. He may have had some serious complications before, but through proper care and medicine, he recovered.

With his new life came with a new name. The family gave him named him Wilf and arranged his transport to the UK where they’ll all be living together. Yes, you heard it right. The family decided to adopt him!

He literally came from the streets in another country and ended up in the UK. The kindness of humans will always go a long way. Be sure to be kind!

Thanks to wilflight for the photos.
