As they interacted with the dog, Officer Matthew and his team noticed that the pit bull had a forehead injury. Due to the injury, the police officers to bring the poor dog to a local veterinary clinic to get medical care. At the clinic, the veterinarian assured Officer Matthew and his team that the dog’s condition is not severe.
With the vet’s assurance, the other policemen decided to go back to their headquarters to do other jobs. Officer Matthew decided to stay because he wants to ensure that the dog’s condition is all good.
When the vet was done treating the dog’s injury, he advised that the dog should be transferred to the Burlington Country Animal Shelter. This was the time that Officer Matthew told the vet that he is going to adopt the pit bull for good. It was not a difficult decision on his part because Officer Matthew has been looking for a dog to adopt ever since his previous dog died.
