Dog Comes Home With A Stray Kitten After Going Out To Pee

Dog Comes Home With A Stray Kitten After Going Out To Pee

Paquita Gillis April 4, 2020

To say that dogs are amazing creatures is an understatement. They have thousands of magic tricks hidden in their fur, and they never fail to make us gush over them whenever they reveal each one. These furry fellas sure make this world a much better place to live in.

Aside from making their humans happy, dogs also know how to care for other animals. Such is the case of Hazel, a three-year-old Chihuahua-poodle-Yorkie mix who lives with Abilene, Texas, with Monica Burks.

Going on a potty break

Hazel has been living with Monica since she was just a few weeks old. The human mom raised her canine daughter well, and it showed. Hazel grew up to be a beautiful, obedient, and friendly pooch.

The Yorkie mix had exceptional hygiene, too! Whenever she felt the need to poop or pee, she would ask Monica to let her out of the house. Once she’s done doing her business, she would give Monica the signal to let her go back inside. That has been their rhythm ever since.

Coming home with a feline friend

Monica couldn’t join Hazel on her potty break one afternoon because of the terrible weather condition. She let the dog go out alone since Hazel knew how to go home. Normally, the pooch would come back after an hour or so, but it was already getting late that afternoon, and there was no sign of Hazel.

Worried, Monica stepped out of the house to look for Hazel. She was about to exit her gate when she saw her baby walking home with a kitten. It turns out, Hazel met the kitten on her way to pee. The kitten needed help, and Hazel didn’t have the heart to leave the kitten alone, so she made it join her on her way home. To know more about this story, watch the video below:
