By Picking Up Plastic Bottles, This Dog Contributes To The Conservation Of Our Environment

Paquita Gillis April 6, 2022

Plastic is unmistakably one of the world’s most pressing issues. It’s used all around the world and doesn’t break down like other materials do. The world has amassed so much of this stuff that it is poisoning our planet.

A large number of people have been putting in the effort to ensure that they no longer use plastic. There are also others who choose to help the environment by collecting plastic litter. Their efforts, however, are insufficient because they represent only a small part of the total number of people who still use plastic and discard it as if there is no tomorrow.

But perhaps this dog can motivate all of us to do our part to protect the environment. This is such a cute dog, and he’s doing his part to save Mother Earth.

Chipper is the dog’s name and he is Katie Pollak’s pet. Katie is an amazing woman who also wants to help the environment and she was ecstatic when she found out that her dog adores plastic bottles. When they went for walks, she noticed that Chipper would wander around picking up littered plastic bottles.

This, Katie felt, was a good thing. As a result, she decided to push it even further. When they were out strolling, she gave Chipper a reward every time the dog picked up a plastic bottle.

Katie and Chipper soon made this a regular thing they did. They’ve even spent many hours together recycling the plastic bottles that they picked up.

Katie occasionally decides on cleaning up a certain area in their neighborhood. Chipper and her other dog would accompany her to these clean-ups. The dogs love doing this because they think it is fun and they get to spend time outdoors and with their favorite human.

Katie would bring a recycling bag with her when they went on walks. Chipper picks up plastic bottles, which they would place inside the bag.

Chipper, you are doing a really fantastic job!

If Chipper can help save the world, so can we.
