Justice was approximately two years old when he was discovered wandering the streets of Indiana. The sight of his body covered in terrible burns appalled the rescue workers who came to help him. They believed that she was intentionally doused with chemicals that caused her injuries.
The stray dog was immediately taken to the Shelby County Animal Shelter, where he received the necessary medical care. His body was bandaged, and he was administered a number of drugs. The shelter personnel cleaned and replaced his bandages on a regular basis to prevent any kind of infection from setting in.
Justice received medical treatment and training for an entire year before he was deemed adoptable.
Despite the fact that the dog’s appearance never totally returned to when he was healthy, there was still significant progress. His fur grew back, and his skin recovered. But it was his character that underwent significant change.
When he was brought in, Justice was extremely scared of everything. But after witnessing the shelter staff’s love and care, he became a happier and more confident dog. The homeless dog now has far more energy and initiates interactions with both humans and other canines.
When he was made available for adoption, hundreds of applications from all around the world were received by the shelter. Due to his health and ongoing therapy, however, they had to find someone who was no more than 100 miles away.
Within a few days, they located the ideal family for him. The dog became accustomed to his new home and has shown signs of confidence in his new family. This was not an easy task for a dog with a history of severe mistreatment.
The case is still under investigation and being handled by the authorities. They have not yet determined who caused Justice’s injuries. They also offered a substantial prize for any information. There is still insufficient evidence to convict anyone.
Hopefully, the matter will be resolved quickly, and Justice will receive, well, justice for the heinous deed committed against him.
