A dog with paralyzed hind legs has been melting online viewers’ hearts after she was seen teaching her owner’s baby how to crawl.
Meet Kahlua, a smart and helpful dog. She usually loves helping around the household like fetching or handing something that’s on the floor or that’s way on the other side of the house. But sadly, she had broken her spine and hip after falling from a balcony that was three stories high while in the care of her previous owners.
Kahlua can still get around by herself but she just does it a little differently. Since she is unable to use her back legs, she does a unique skip-and-hop technique to get around the house. When she’s outside, she uses a wheelchair that was created just for her.
Since this adorable pooch has become such an expert at getting around, she’s giving out lessons. As proof, she has taught her human brother Caleb how to scoot and crawl around. Thankfully, their mom was able to capture the lesson on camera. It’s the cutest thing you’ll ever see online today!
The video starts with their mom encouraging Kahlua to come to her. The happy canine starts hopping with her bum while pulling herself forward with her front paws. You can also see that baby Caleb is somewhere behind. It seems that he wants to move around too, but he doesn’t know how to walk or crawl yet.
Then mom calls Kahlua again and tells the pooch to teach Caleb how to get around. Kahlua happily obliges and makes her way toward mom. This time, she does it a little faster, hopping up and down while using her two front paws to go forward.
Caleb notices what Kahlua is doing. Seeing the pooch move must have given him the motivation to get up and move around too. So Caleb makes his way to mom by crawling in his own little way! Mom is happy seeing her little boy being able to crawl on his own, and that is all thanks to Kahlua!
Kahlua is proof that having disabilities should not hinder you from helping others.
