Tiny Kitten Found In Sewers Grows Up With Two Big Doggos

Tiny Kitten Found In Sewers Grows Up With Two Big Doggos

Paquita Gillis September 4, 2021

Brittny was taking her son, Hudson, out for a walk in the neighborhood two days before Christmas when she heard a kitten meowing from the sewers. She wanted to check if the tiny kitty was alright, so she climbed down to rescue him from the freezing water in the drainage.

Brittny recalled that the kitten she named Tuna was meowing his lungs out, but he instantly became calm and quiet as soon as she picked him up. She shared that since Hudson was also with her and heard the cat, it became automatic that their family now has a pet cat.

Brittny called her husband, Zachary, about the current predicament she found herself in. Zachary quickly went back out to see if Tuna’s mom or other littermates were wandering the area, but he did not find any.

Brittny and Zachary admitted that they prefer dogs more than cats, and they knew that Tuna would have to be a permanent member of their family if they bring him inside their house. However, they eventually gave in and welcomed Tuna when they saw the excited look on their son’s face after meeting Tuna.

Brittny and Zachary recalled that when they brought Tuna home for the first time, their two dogs, Frankie and Echo, were thrilled. Frankie immediately groomed Tuna and acted like his mother, while Echo stuck to him like glue and started playing with him from the moment he arrived.

Tuna to the vet the following morning, and luckily, the doctors did not find anything wrong with him other than being underweight. Tuna was fed every couple of hours, and he eventually gained weight and got better after a month.

Tuna became a playful kitten after growing up with two big dogs. Brittny shared that she could not be happier that her furbabies welcomed their tiny cat brother with open paws.
