This Golden Retriever Playing Dead To Avoid Leaving The Park Will Crack You Up

Paquita Gillis August 12, 2023

While “playing dead” is already a classic dog trick, it still doesn’t fail to crack people up every time. One Golden Retriever used this trick to avoid leaving the park and even got a crowd invested in him. His video will definitely make you laugh at his adorable persistence.

The video showed a Golden Retriever lying in the middle of the ground. As it turned out, he didn’t want to leave the park, so he pretended to be dead. His dad was pulling the leash and telling him they had to go, but he still won’t budge.

That was when the owner decided to remove the stubborn dog’s leash and trick him into leaving the park. He succeeded since it made the dog get up and give him a look that seemed to say, “No, don’t leave me.” He immediately came back and put the leash on him once again.

By then, the owner and his Golden Retriever had already grabbed the people’s attention around the park. And it seemed like the dog knew that very well because he resisted when his father pulled on his leash again. They just had a little battle of tug of war for a short moment, and all the while this was happening, some people couldn’t stop themselves from laughing.

It didn’t take long for the persistent Golden Retriever to drop back to the ground and continue playing dead. It got everyone in the crowd laughing, especially when his father tried to pull him up again. He got no choice but to trick him into leaving him for the second time.

The Golden Retriever waited for his dad to return, but when he realized that his dad was not falling for it anymore, he finally got up. The crowd cheered while he slowly walked toward his owner with his tail wagging.
