This French Bulldog Became An Internet Star Because Of His Skateboarding Skills

Paquita Gillis January 9, 2022

Perhaps one of the reasons why our relationships with our doggos are extra special is because we can get them involved in our hobbies. Our puppers love to have fun just like us, and doing activities together truly makes our bond with them a lot stronger.

Nowadays, it seems like there is no limit to the list of activities that our dogs can take part in. Some furballs even engage in extreme sports, just like this French bulldog named Cabbage from China’s Liaoning province. This cool canine became an internet star in China because of his skateboarding skills.

The pup’s dog dad, Zhao Chen, explained that he started training Cabbage last year, and just after 20 days, the pupper started riding on his own. Zhao used a lot of treats to lure his fur baby onto the skateboard. First, he taught the bulldog how to ride with just one paw on the skateboard, and not long after, Cabbage started riding on all fours while Zhao pulled the board with a leash.

When the Frenchie got used to riding, he started to enjoy being on the skateboard. So much so that it became part of the pup’s daily routine. Cabbage would head out to a nearby park to ride along with his dog dad. The pooch had become so skilled at skateboarding that Zhao decided to record his fur baby so that they could make netizens happy.

Without a doubt, Cabbage is one of the best skateboarding doggos in the world. The pup could make turns with ease, avoid obstacles, and he could even skateboard down a short flight of stairs. Because of Cabbage’s skills, he had gained over half a million followers!

Zhao stated, however, that he’s not after internet fame, so he has no plans on teaching his pooch new skills. Skateboarding is enough for Cabbage’s daily exercise, and he fears that doing more activities on top of this could be harmful to the pup’s body.
