Sick Dog Hiding In Old House Is Rescued By A Kind Man And Finds A New Family In Germany

Sick Dog Hiding In Old House Is Rescued By A Kind Man And Finds A New Family In Germany

Paquita Gillis April 5, 2021

Takis is an animal rescuer that gave up everything in his life to start his own rescue charity organization named after him. He has saved hundreds of dogs and continues to do so. He knows all the names of the animals he saved and this includes a labrador named Luna.

Homeless

Luna was reported to Takis by a couple of concerned people. They saw the dog staying in a room full of garbage in an abandoned home. She looked sick and was unable to move. The kind man agreed to get her and went straight to the area. When he found Luna, he was surprised to see a dog that had sadness and pain in her face, but her tail was wagging.

He could tell right away that the dog was suffering, but she was happy because someone was there to help her. It was time for her to have a new life.

As the dog couldn’t walk by herself, the rescuer went back to his car to get a dog carrier. He went back to Luna and put her inside. Both of them then drove back to the shelter.

Getting better and better

Once they were back in the shelter, Takis tried to coax her out of the cage, but she liked it there. For the first time ever, the poor pooch found a place where she felt safe and comfortable. Takis decided not to force the issue and let her enjoy this new feeling. He just gave him some food and let her eat inside.

The next day, they went to a vet. She was looked over and prescribed medication. For the next few months, she will have a lot of treatments and therapy.

Soon enough, the dog experienced a lot of progress. She gained weight, was able to walk again, and her personality started to come out. She became a very playful dog and loves running. And the best news was that a family from Germany has adopted her.

Thanks to Takis, Luna’s life will now forever be happy.
