Patient Humans Taught A Frightened Dog How To Enjoy Life

Patient Humans Taught A Frightened Dog How To Enjoy Life

Paquita Gillis October 17, 2023

Tobi, a rescued dog, was scared of everything. Nobody knew about his past, and the staff and volunteers at the shelter where Tobi was staying assumed he grew up on the streets and had to struggle to survive.

Tobi had little understanding of human connection and would always huddle in a corner of his kennel. He continually attempted to avoid human contact, since he disliked getting attention.

Whenever Tobi was taken for a walk, he would also constantly fall flat on his face.

When shelter personnel observed how afraid he was of humans, they conducted a small test to determine how he behaved with other dogs. They brought Tobi to a playgroup to observe his behavior around friendly dogs. That’s when they noticed Tobi’s behavior beginning to improve.

Eventually, the staff and volunteers of the animal shelter determined that this was the best course of action and convinced Tobi to join the playgroup every day. Tobi quickly became comfortable and gained self-assurance to be adopted by an extraordinary family.

After a few weeks with his foster family, Bonita Rogazinsky, an extraordinary woman, adopted Tobi. She turned out to be an excellent match for Tobi.

Bonita is an outgoing individual who frequently engages in outdoor activities. She would bring Tobi along, which helped Tobi emerge from his shell. He quickly became a trustworthy dog and was not ashamed to show just how much he loves being in nature.

Tobi and his new fur mother and canine sibling would go on a variety of adventures, including hiking, mountain biking, and running. He enjoys his new life and has gained a great deal of confidence since leaving the animal shelter.

Tobi would rush up to other dogs in a dog park to say hello and join in the fun. This was something that he had not been able to do before.
