Mama Dog Needed Someone To Rescue Her And Her Puppies So She Kept Barking Until Help Came

Mama Dog Needed Someone To Rescue Her And Her Puppies So She Kept Barking Until Help Came

Paquita Gillis November 9, 2019

When Stray Rescue of St. Louis got a call about a dog that was trapped in an abandoned house, they wasted no time. They sprang into action and quickly went to the said location to help the poor dog. But to their surprise, the dog wasn’t alone.

Rescuers found a mama dog and her seven babies trapped inside the empty house. She kept barking and crying for someone to come and help them. Fortunately, help came at the right time.

The volunteers checked the vicinity of the house. Once they were inside, they tried gaining mama dog’s trust by providing her some treats. Surprisingly, she was so friendly. She let her rescuers come near her and allowed them to put a leash on her neck.

Mama dog was taken out by one of the rescuers. They kept comforting her as the rest of the volunteers continued searching for the puppies. While it didn’t take long for them to take the mama dog out of the house, it took some extra effort for them to find the pups.

The little ones were hiding among the rubble, and they scattered across the house. So the rescuers had to check every corner of the property find them.

Once they had the first three puppies, the rescuers took them out and reunited them with their mom. Soon enough, the remaining four puppies have been found. And mama dog was so thrilled to have her babies back.

The little furry family was taken straight to the vet, where they were bathed and fed. Besides mama dog having some skin infection, the entire family was generally healthy and fit.

Mama dog and her babies spent several weeks at the rescue. But as soon as the babies were weaned, they all started searching for their forever families. And before anyone knew it, everyone was already on their way home.
