Hungry Stray Pup Follows Bulgarian Couple To Their Home

Hungry Stray Pup Follows Bulgarian Couple To Their Home

Paquita Gillis April 7, 2021

Stuyan and Dessy went to town to get some groceries when they met a little pup outside the store. He looked hungry and tired but was very sociable. They felt sad for the dog and gave him a couple of sausages to eat. But they couldn’t really take him home with them as they lived with two cats.

The couple has a soft heart for animals. They have taken in several strays but they knew they couldn’t take in all of them. There are numerous homeless animals in their town in Bulgaria, and sadly, many pet owners tend to abandon puppies and kittens. It is a sad reality that they had to face.

And that day, even when they wanted to help the poor pup, they just couldn’t afford it.

Persistent

As the couple started their long walk back to their home in the hill part of town, the stray puppy started following them. They tried to discourage him but he still persisted. They thought that since they had a long way to go, the pup would eventually give up. But, even when they started walking the steeply ascending road, the pup was still on their heels.

Once they arrived at their house, they made the decision to foster him. The pup was still basically a baby and he won’t take up too much space or need a lot of food. And they just couldn’t say no anymore to the adorable pooch.

animal, cute, dog

Once they went into the house, the dog suddenly became reluctant. it seemed like it has never been inside a home and he was confused about what to do. For several minutes, the dog lingered by the door, taking one step inside and two steps back. Eventually, the dog mustered up enough courage to go in.

Dessy gave the pup some food to eat then bathed him. They then prepared a warm and comfortable place for him to settle in. This will be his new home temporarily, as they help find him a more permanent setup. Hopefully, the poor pooch will go to a family that will provide him with all the love and attention that he needs.

But for that night, he will have the best sleep in his young life.
