Disabled Puppy Born From Irresponsible Breeding Finally Finds A Loving Family

Disabled Puppy Born From Irresponsible Breeding Finally Finds A Loving Family

Paquita Gillis July 16, 2023

Irresponsible dog breeding has sad consequences. More often than not, outcomes include puppies with disabilities. These pups are not considered marketable and are often put down. Breeders see these dogs as broken products.

Moxie was once considered an unsellable dog. This is primarily because she was born blind and deaf, a result of her breeder’s irresponsible breeding. But Moxie was lucky to have escaped the fate typical for pooches like her. This was after she found a loving family who accepted her for who she is.

Moxie’s new life

After getting transferred from one shelter to another, Moxie was finally adopted by the Overhill family. But what made things much more exciting for Moxie was that the Overhills have another dog, a Rough Collie named Macy. According to Michelle, the matriarch of the family, Macy has the most incredible patience. This dog’s attitude, together with her nurturing instinct, makes her a good companion for Moxie.

Michelle explained that animals have an instinct that tells them when another animal has a flaw. Many pooches who met Moxie avoided her because they felt something was wrong with her.

But Macy is different. She just gave Moxie one gentle sniff, and she knew that she liked the dog. Eventually, Macy and Moxie became the best of friends.

Moxie’s just like other dogs!

Despite her disabilities, Moxie shows everyone that she can still have a normal life. Michelle said that the dog gets by at home on her own without any trouble. The family has been extremely supportive of Moxie. As a result, the dog has become happy and confident.

Michelle added that Moxie is approachable and adventurous. The jovial dog doesn’t get startled or scared whenever she tries new things or meets new faces.

It’s obvious that Moxie has finally found where she belongs in this world.
