Despite Her Disability, This Amazing Dog Grew Up Strong And Healthy

Despite Her Disability, This Amazing Dog Grew Up Strong And Healthy

Paquita Gillis April 23, 2022

Bali, a mother dog, had a litter of five puppies, but she only seemed to care for four of them. She detested Keumsook, the youngest of her puppies, and didn’t care about her.

Grandma, their owner, stepped in and took care of the sad little puppy when Bali refused to nurse her.

Grandma fed Keumsook every two hours. Bottle feeding was not an option because, unlike other puppies, this tiny puppy couldn’t drink milk from a bottle. Instead, Grandma used a medicine dropper or, on occasion, her fingers to ensure that the puppy received the nutrition it required.

Grandma took Keumsook to the hospital after seeing she was different from her brothers and sisters. Her malformed legs rubbed against her internal organs, according to the veterinarians. She didn’t have a long life expectancy as a result of this.

As the owner, Grandma was heartbroken, but she never gave up hope for Keumsook. She continued to look after the dog and rubbed its legs on a daily basis. Despite its disability, she wished for her tiny runt to grow big and well, and she was not disappointed.

Keumsook grew up like any other puppy. She was cheerful, playful, and vivacious. Despite everything, she enjoyed being around her dog mom. And, despite the difficulties, she chose to keep her spirits high and enjoy her life as she should.

The puppy never returned to the vet after her initial examination. Grandma was concerned that the physicians would only have unpleasant things to say. But she surely changed her mind and then chose to see a professional for her pet dog.

The vets discovered that no amount of surgery or therapy could help Keumsook’s legs. However, the fact that she was perfectly healthy was a huge relief. She was as normal as she could be because of her Grandma’s loving care.

Keumsook wasn’t meant to survive long, but her unwavering determination and love for life enabled her to overcome all odds. She’s a true wonder, and everyone can learn something from her.
