A Valiant Dog Saves The Life Of An Abandoned Cat By Staying By Her Side The Entire Time

A Valiant Dog Saves The Life Of An Abandoned Cat By Staying By Her Side The Entire Time

Paquita Gillis June 14, 2022

Two-year-old English Cocker Spaniel Maisie is being celebrated as a hero.

This happened when she and her owner went for a walk in Wormwood Scrubs Park in North West London. The dog and her owner were strolling through the forest when Maisie abruptly stopped and began to bark at some nearby bushes. Pam claimed that this is what her dog does when she wants to play with a stick. Therefore, she got one and threw it in front of her dog.

Maisie ignored it in a peculiar fashion. She merely continued to stare in the same direction and refused to move.

Pam then recognized that her dog must be trying to communicate something to her.

Pam approached the bushes to investigate. She discovered a bag tucked away and concealed from view. On top of the carrier was a note stating that Lily, a five-year-old cat, was inside. It further mentioned that the cat was currently homeless and needed someone to care for her.

When Pam opened the carrier, she saw two sad eyes staring at her. The compassionate woman began to feel guilty as she had her own cats, and she couldn’t believe this one had been abandoned without food or water. She was also placed in a location that would make her difficult to find.

If not for Maisie, Lily would have little chance of being located.

Pam brought Lily home with her and provided her with food and drink. She also provided a suitable location for her to stay in. However, the kind-hearted woman could not accept her because she already had numerous pets.

The next day, she brought Lily to The Mayhew Animal Home, an animal refuge and rescue organization. The cat remained there until she was ready to be adopted. It did not take long to find her a permanent home.

Lily now lives happily with a wonderful family because a dog refused to abandon her.
