A Puppy Was Abandoned In An Airport Bathroom With A Heartbreaking Note From His Previous Owner

A Puppy Was Abandoned In An Airport Bathroom With A Heartbreaking Note From His Previous Owner

In an abusive household, pets also become victims, whether directly or indirectly. A Miniature Chihuahua named Chewy was one of those pets.

Apparently, Chewy and his fur mom suffered at the hands of the woman’s ex-boyfriend. This situation forced the woman to leave with the dog. But the woman faced a dilemma once she was at the airport.

Thankfully, Chewy’s story has a happy ending.

The escape

The three-month-old dog was left by his mom at the McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas. A heartbreaking note came with the dog.

The note said that Chewy and his fur mom were supposed to escape together from the woman’s abusive ex-boyfriend. Unfortunately, the woman couldn’t afford to get the dog on the flight, forcing her to make a difficult decision.

Chewy’s mom didn’t want the dog to experience her abusive ex-partner’s violence again. She recalled that her ex-boyfriend once kicked the tiny pooch in the head. This caused Chewy to have a big knot on his head.

The woman also said in the note that she hoped someone would find the dog and take care of him. She ended her letter simply by saying that she loved Chewy so much.

The poor Chihuahua eventually ended up at a shelter named Connor and Millie’s Dog Rescue. He did well there, and he was eventually adopted by a loving family.

The people on YouTube have spoken

Chewy’s story has been picked up by a TV program called Inside Edition. The said show shared the dog’s sad tale on YouTube. Currently, the heartbreaking video has more than four million views and 65K likes.

People expressed their sadness and frustration over Chewy’s story. One said that whoever had the audacity to kick an innocent puppy was not human. Another said that the woman should be given credit for not leaving the dog with her ex-boyfriend. A third YouTube user hoped that Chewy’s owner saw the video, so she would know that her puppy was doing well.
