A Person From South Carolina Is Offering $10,000 To Anyone Who Could Get His Stolen Dog Back

Ben Brengle from South Carolina is offering $10,000 to anyone who can get his stolen dog returned to him safely. Ben lost his dog in December last year when his truck was stolen with his pooch Bella inside the vehicle.

2-year-old Bella is a Labrador Retriever mix with a pink nose and a broken tail.

The South Carolina Police Department just recently arrested a suspect involved in the case.

The sheriff’s Chief Deputy Adam Baker in Berkeley County told reporters that the police received some tips regarding the stolen truck, and that led them to make an arrest of a suspect named Richard Rawlings Jr.

The arrest happened after a search was carried out in one of the wooded areas of Berkeley County.

Rawlings who was in possession of the stolen vehicle at the time of the arrest has been charged with theft by the police. Rawlings will now be presented in front of a court.

Rawlings told officials during the interrogation that the dog jumped out of the car through the broken window of the truck when he stopped at a mart after stealing the vehicle.

Earlier, Ben told reporters that he had stopped in front of a mart only to make some quick purchases and left Bella inside the truck because of rain, but when he returned, both the dog and the vehicle were gone.

The truck was stolen on December 22, and since then, Ben has been riding his bicycle to the areas near the place where the theft happened to ask people about his dog. It was a tip actually obtained from one of these bicycle rides that led to Rawling’s arrest.

Ben has posted Bella’s description and the announcement of the $10,000 reward for getting the dog safely back to him, on social media.
