A Gigantic Alaskan Malamute Often Gets Mistaken For A Lion

A Gigantic Alaskan Malamute Often Gets Mistaken For A Lion

Paquita Gillis February 23, 2023

Tydus is an Alaskan Malamute that resembles a large, furry lion rather than a dog. When he was just six months away from turning three years old, he weighed approximately 110 to 120 kilograms.

He has a woolly coat, which is unusual for Malamutes. His coat and its one-of-a-kind color add to his uniqueness.

Tydus’ fur mother, Yumna Saloojee, stated that his furriness is the first thing that draws people’s attention. The next thing people notice is his enormous size.

Everywhere they go, they are halted and bombarded with questions about Tydus’ size, age, and, most frequently, what breed he is. Perhaps folks aren’t used to seeing a dog that looks like a lion roaming around their neighborhood.

In addition to all that fur that makes him appear bigger, Tydus has a great stature matched by a broad chest, which some people find intimidating. That’s why a lot of people claim he resembles a lion.

However, Salojee said that Tydus’ size is mostly just because of his fuzzy fur, and she doesn’t think Tydus will grow any larger. But it’s okay with her because if her gigantic dog does, she’ll have a challenging time caring for him!

Tydus, despite his enormous proportions, is a compassionate giant. He enjoys snuggling all the time. He also likes having a good time with his stuffed toys and being silly.

He would also spend some of his time wrestling, which he was good at because, once again, he was so big! It would not be easy to win against a dog of his size.

And if Tydus doesn’t pique your interest with his enormous size, his goofy and sweet personality definitely will! Despite appearing like a challenging and scary dog, Tydus has a beautiful soul that captivates everybody’s attention.
