Ali Thompson was a veterinarian who worked at a local animal clinic. During one of her shifts, a man entered the clinic to surrender his Pitbull puppy named Bunny.
Bunny’s story
The receptionist at the clinic tried to carry Bunny but was afraid that she’d drop her. When Ali walked into the waiting room, she saw the puppy on top of the table. Bunny was unable to move, and upon closer inspection, Ali diagnosed the dog with tetanus.
Bunny’s ears were pinned up, her lips were pulled back into what the doctors called the sardonic grin, and she was severely tremoring. Unfortunately, Bunny’s owner didn’t have enough funds for Bunny’s medical’s expenses.
The man talked to the vet and suggested putting the dog down. Ali decided that she wanted to help Bunny, so she took the dog home and began her treatment there.
Journey to recovery
Bunny’s first night in her foster home was challenging since she required round the clock care. Ali fed the pup using a syringe and barely got enough sleep that night because she focused on taking care of Bunny.
The dog was blindfolded for fourteen days to decrease stimulation. Ali gently woke Bunny up in the morning, and the pup’s tail instantly wagged.
Ali did all sorts of exercises with Bunny. She used a blanket to hoist the dog up and helped her walk. Ali was so determined to help the little puppy get better.
One day, when Ali came home from work, Bunny immediately propped herself up and walked towards her foster mom. Ali didn’t plan to adopt Bunny, but as soon as she saw the dog use her legs, she knew she couldn’t give her away. Bunny was already in her forever home all along, and Ali felt so blessed to have her.
