Hollywood is known for world-famous actors and movies. While there are celebrities who make the headlines for all the wrong reasons, there are also those who inspire people to make the world a better place.
One famous actor who acts as a role model for all people is Patrick Stewart. Known for his acting skills and countless movies, he is also an animal rights advocate and regularly volunteers as a foster parent for dogs in need of a good home.
Back in 2017, Sir Patrick Stewart made headlines all over the world by fostering a rescue dog named Ginger. The bond between Patrick Stewart and Ginger was so inspiring that it made people more aware that pit bulls are one of the gentlest dog breeds out there.
Although The actor wanted to adopt Ginger and permanently make her a part of his family, they weren’t able to due to the stringent animal laws in the UK, which is Sir Patrick Stewart’s home country.
Ginger eventually ended up in a loving home in the US, and Sir Patrick never forgot her. Ginger inspired Sir Patrick that he ultimately decided to foster more pit bulls and help these animals find a loving home.
Just last April 2019, Sir Patrick Stewart posted on Twitter on his latest foster pit bull named Emma. He bonded rather quickly with the dog and got close with the new foster.
Footage showed Emma and Sir Patrick bonding, and it even showed the two napping together on a couch, which again made the world swoon.
Because the actor switches home between the US and UK, he still couldn’t adopt pit bulls due to breed-specific laws in the UK that bans pit bulls as pets. However, he always does whatever he can to help pit bulls like Ginger and Emma by giving them homes while waiting for a family to adopt them.
Sit Patrick Stewart is an inspiring person and also a great example that we should all follow. His dedication to helping out in giving rescue dogs second chances in finding a good home is truly a great example that we should all follow.
